Canada’s Musical Coast is a string of beautiful communities and majestic coastline vistas bound together by musical traditions. The music culture here is written into the story…the very fabric of the coastline. During harsh winters and trying times, music and dance were neither indulgence nor luxury, but rather survival. Music culture here is honest, authentic and shared directly from the heart- this is a coast shaped by music.
We are pleased to share these wonders of our place with you.

Our last stop of the day was Cabot Links where we arrived just in time for a stunning sunset typical of Inverness in the summer. With Beech Hill playing for us, it was a perfect end to the day. Beech Hill's new album, Chameleon is out now -- check it out at www.beechhill.bandcamp.com#MyMusicalCoast #VisitCapeBreton #Unamaki #VisitNovaScotia #RediscoverNovaScotia ... See MoreSee Less

They are so talented and versatile. Saw them in action at a wedding on the weekend. You can tell they love what they do! 👌🏻🎶
Great locations for some tunes 😊

The Celtic Shores Coastal Trail spans 92 kilometers down Cape Breton's west coast, and starts or ends in Inverness, depending on which direction you're going! From this trailhead, you can walk to all the amenities Inverness offers, visit the Inverness Miners Museum, Inverness Beach, and the Visitor Information Centre. Plus, you get to see views like this one -- and if you're lucky, maybe you'll stumble upon some talented local musicians too! How great is this Beech Hill song? #MyMusicalCoast #VisitCapeBreton #Unamaki #VisitNovaScotia #RediscoverNovaScotia ... See MoreSee Less

Inverness is a former mining community -- you can still see evidence of that driving through the village, 'company houses' lining your way, with residents having made them their own for decades. In fact, Cabot Links golf course is built over what was once mines! But another important aspect of Inverness history and economy is of course fishing. Beech Hill gave us the coolest show from member Jesse Ryan's boat docked in Inverness Harbour. #MyMusicalCoast #VisitCapeBreton #Unamaki #VisitNovaScotia #RediscoverNovaScotia ... See MoreSee Less
