Festival de la Mi-Carême 2023
Date: Sunday, March 12 2023 to Saturday, March 18 2023
A two hundred year old festival that celebrates dance, music and the Acadian culture. Come and join in all the festivities of this amazing tradition. Mi-Carême will be celebrated from the 12th to the 18th of March 2023. There will be live music and entertainment every night at the Mi-Carême center as well as Acadian traditional dishes to savour with friends and family.
La Mi-Careme

La Mi-Careme Festival is a one week winter festival that falls mid-Lent each year and can fall from early March to early April. Currently the majority of participants to this community event are local and returning past residents. This interactive festival allows visitors to either disguise themselves in costume or to participate as a `watcher` and guess those in costumes. Chez Edmond Vacation Home

Chez Edmond is a century-old farmhouse located in Grand Etang, an Acadian comunity of St. Joseph du Moine at the base of the Cape Breton Highlands. It is 15 minutes from Cheticamp. Centre de la Mi-Carême
Mi-Carême (Mid-Lent) is a celebration involving masks and disguises. The Centre de la Mi-Carême offers a unique display of locally crafted masks and interactive exhibits depicting the evolution of “La Mi-Carême”, one of the oldest Acadian traditions, still celebrated in the area every winter.
