October 19th – Meet and greet at the Lakes Cottages in Lake O’Law and depart for a sunset shoot at either Cape Clear or Margaree Harbour Beach. After the sunset session we will head back to Lake O’Law to discuss composition and if the sky is clear we will continue with an evening of astrophotography.
October 20th – Saturday morning will start with a sunrise shoot in Margaree and continue on photographing fly fishers casting for salmon. We’ll make a quick stop for coffee and treats before heading out on the Cabot Trail for an afternoon and evening of photographing multiple locations. Locations will be decided upon during that day to capitalize on the lighting conditions and where the peak colours are. We will visit locations like MacIntosh Brook Falls, Aspy Fault, Beulach Ban Falls and photograph the sunset at Cap Rouge. Supper will be in Cheticamp (not provided) before we head back to Lake O’Law. Photo review and discussion will continue on that evening.
October 21st – Sunday morning will be located in either, the Acadian Forest surrounding Lake O’Law or (depending on the physicality of participants) a trip to the beautiful Egypt Falls. We will return to the cottages for a printing session and final wrap up before participants depart.
All locations and schedules are subject to change so that we can capitalize on unexpected moments, the changing weather and maximizing lighting conditions.
