The Saturday Afternoon Fiddle Matinée is a tradition that began at the Doryman in 1977. The tradition continues this week with Westmount fiddler, piano player, and dancer Howie MacDonald; popular Chéticamp fiddler Donny LeBlanc, who hosted Saturday afternoon concerts at the Doryman from 1977-1997; and one of the most sought-after piano players of this generation, Chéticamp's Hilda Chiasson. This well-respected trio of Cape Breton players will have you on your feet with their lively tunes. 2-6pm | $10

The Saturday Afternoon Fiddle Matinée is a tradition that began at the Doryman in 1977. The tradition continues this week with Shelly Campbell. Born and raised on West Bay Road, Inverness County, Shelly has been playing traditional Cape Breton music for more than 30 years. Influenced by local fiddlers Stephanie Wills, Theresa MacLellan, Gertie Coffin, and Alex Francis MacKay, among others, her playing is powerful, lively, graceful, and deeply-rooted in the traditions she grew up listening to. 3-6pm | $8
