West Mabou Family Square Dance

West Mabou Family Square Dances have been held for over 30 years and are a well-established attraction of Cape Breton Island’s Celtic music scene. These dances are attended by locals and visitors alike and feature the island’s best-known traditional musicians. Our Inverness County square sets are easy to learn.  At the start of each dance, we will offer one guided square set for newcomers. Come join the fun!  All ages welcome!

Mabou Tuesday Night Ceilidhs

Date: Tuesday, July 4 2023 to Thursday, August 24 2023

These ceilidhs will feature some of Cape Breton’s finest traditional musicians and step dancers!  There will also be a guided Square Set at each one!  The concerts will be held in the air conditioned Mabou Parish Hall every Tuesday, July 4th to August 24th .  All ages welcome! This summer concert series is held Tuesday nights from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM in the air conditioned Mabou Hall, right across from The Red Shoe Pub.
